Using Retractable Badge Reels For Swipe Cards

If your office uses security swipe cards then using lanyards with retractable badge reels attached will make life a lot easier for your staff. Rather than having to keep reaching into a pocket or wallet for their access cards, it's just a simple pull, swipe and then retracts. Ideal for work environments where speed is of the essence such as hospitals. The last thing you need is a doctor scrambling for their security card. Attached to a lanyard they are easy to find and with a retractable badge reel on the end, they can extend them out to swipe through the security mechanism.

You don't need to have them attached to a lanyard though. Many retractable ID card holders have a belt clip at the back so you can attach them either to a pocket or to your belt buckle. Most come with about a one metre nylon extension cord, so even if it is attached to your hip, you still have enough to be able to pull your ID card out for easy viewing by security personnel before entering the building.
