About Us

Lanyards are all we do. LanyardsOnly is part of the PromotionsOnly group, based in Lane Cove, Sydney, and since 2003 we have completed more than 35,000 lanyard jobs and supplied over 20 million lanyards across Australia. Lanyards have been a dedicated focus of the group almost from the start.

The range covers everything from printed lanyards with your logo or event branding, through to plain lanyards for security passes and staff ID, and eco friendly lanyards made from recycled and sustainable materials.

Factory direct production

We produce factory direct through our own sourcing office in China rather than buying through a middle layer of wholesalers. That is why our volumes are what they are. Cutting out the reseller margin keeps prices down, and dealing directly with production keeps quality and lead times under our control. Standard production is two weeks, and if your conference or event date is tighter than that, ask before you order and we will give you a straight answer on what is achievable.

Branding options

Most lanyards are screen printed or dye sublimated, and we handle both, along with woven branding for a stitched finish. If you want something that stands out on a lanyard wall of five hundred delegates, we also produce specialty finishes such as puff print, which raises the design off the strap, and glow in the dark printing for night events and festivals. If you have seen a branding effect on a lanyard somewhere, the odds are good we can produce it.

Who orders from us

Our client list runs from some of Australia's largest listed companies, including Telstra, Commonwealth Bank, Microsoft and Sigma Healthcare, through to charities, schools, sporting clubs and local associations ordering a few hundred lanyards for an annual event. Volume changes the price per unit, not the attention the job gets. Every order goes through the same artwork setup and proof approval before production begins. We also supply a good number of promotional companies behind the scenes; if you are in the trade, apply as a reseller for discounted pricing.

Our story

PromotionsOnly launched in 2003 from a home office and moved twice as it grew, first to North Ryde and then to Lane Cove in 2005, where the business still operates. Two early decisions shaped what LanyardsOnly is now. We put our pricing online from day one, when almost nobody in the industry would, so buyers could see costs without having to ask for a quote. And we established our own office in China, which is what makes genuine factory direct production possible at our volumes. Of the more than 150 million branded products the group has shipped since then, over 20 million have been lanyards.

Where some of it goes

Every month, and for more than 15 years now, the business has donated to WWF, Sea Shepherd, Médecins Sans Frontières, World Vision and Sydney's own Monika's Doggie Rescue, and we sponsor two children through World Vision. The Humpty Dumpty Foundation has been receiving product from us at cost or free for over a decade. Registered charities also get a discount off our published prices, so mention it when you order.
